Scam warning for veterans
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs has warned veterans to beware of an imposter phone number that closely resembles the real phone number of the VA’s Veterans Choice Program.
The VA says people who call the imposter number are offered a rebate and asked to provide their credit card numbers over the phone, but the VA says it would never ask for this information or make such an offer through the Veterans Choice Program phone line.
