Consumer complaint resolution

The Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Section offers an informal dispute resolution process to help resolve consumer complaints about a variety of topics, including motor vehicles, phone and internet services, debt collection, credit repair, telemarketing, and home improvement.

Consumer complaints that are raised by active-duty military service members or their immediate family members are prioritized by the office.

Complaints may be filed online or by calling the Ohio Attorney General’s Help Center at 800-282-0515 between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Keep in mind that information sent to the Ohio Attorney General’s Office is public record, so remove any Social Security numbers, bank account numbers, or other sensitive information before submitting information with your complaint.
