IRS expands access to Identity Protection PINs

If you’re concerned about your vulnerability to tax-related identity theft, the IRS is now expanding access to an Identity Protection PIN (IP PIN) for every taxpayer upon request. This is a good tool to use because it establishes a six-digit code that must be provided by you when you file your taxes. The use of the IP PIN helps prevent you from becoming a victim of tax-related identity theft.
