National Cybersecurity Awareness Month – Tip #1: Passwords
October 2, 2019
October is National Cybersecurity Awareness Month and we will be sharing a few tips throughout the month to help keep you safe in cyberspace. For example, experts recommend that your passwords or passphrases be as long as possible. Use unique passwords for each account so that you are better protected in the event one account is breached. Having trouble coming up with complex, unique passwords? Try using a reputable “password manager” to help generate and remember numerous passwords. Just be sure that you remember your master password and keep it safe. Also, enable “multi-factor authentication” for any online account where that option is available.
